Melissa and Doug Princess Castle Recalled

Due to Choking Hazard

Melissa and Doug has recalled its popular Fold and Go Wooden Princess Castle due to a choking hazard.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall on Tuesday, March 8, 2023. The recall affects about 150,000 castles that were sold in the United States and Canada between January 2021 and February 2023.

The CPSC said that the wooden dowels that hold the castle together can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children. The company has received 10 reports of the dowels detaching, including one report of a child who put a dowel in their mouth.

Consumers are urged to immediately stop using the recalled castles and return them to Melissa and Doug for a full refund. The company is offering a free replacement castle to customers who return the recalled castle.

For more information, consumers can contact Melissa and Doug at 800-284-3948 or visit the company's website at www.melissaanddoug.com.

The Fold and Go Wooden Princess Castle is a popular toy for young children. It is made of wood and has a colorful design. The castle can be folded up for easy storage.
